What you’ll need…

Green & Blue paint

Marbles

Cake pans

Scissors

Pencil

Spoons

Bowls

Paper

White puffy paint

What you’ll do…

Use the pencil and trace the cake pan on a plain piece of paper.  Cut the circle out.

Place the circle shaped paper on the bottom of the cake pan (you may need to trim it just  a little so it fits snuggly, the paper should lay flat).

Put the paint in 2 separate bowls, one for green and one for blue.  Place the marbles in the paint and use the spoon to roll them around until they are completely covered in paint.

Place the paint covered marbles in the cake pans (some blue, some green).

Allow your kids to move the cake pan back and forth…watching the marbles roll from side to side, making a masterpiece!!

*You can always take the marbles out and recover them in paint if your project needs more color!

Take the circle out of the cake pan, allow it time to dry and then use the white puffy paint to write “Earth Day 2012” or your child’s name or a quote about the Earth on your marble painted Earth!

Have your say
